Сlinical examination of orthodontic patient, its peculiarities. Establishment of the previous diagnosis. Filling in the patient’s card.

Anthropometric method of investigation: craniometry, photometry, measuring of the diagnostic models by Pont, Korkhaus. Determination indices by Tonn and Dolgopolova.

Measuring of the width and length of the dental arches, sizes of the apical bases by Snagina. Determination of the space deficit in the dental arch for an anomalously located tooth. Determination the segments of the dental arches by Gerlah, drawing the diagram of Hawley-Herber-Herbst.

Functional methods of examination: masticatiography, mastication tests, electromyography, myotonometry, rheoperiodontography.

5.

Roentgenologic methods of investigation: intraoral roentgenography, orthopantomography, hand-wrist X-ray.

Teleroentgenography (Cephalometry). Analyzing of the teleroentgenograms by Schwarz.

The role of the oral cavity pathology in the malocclusion development. Premature teeth extraction as a risk factor. Changes in the dento-alveolar complex after premature teeth extraction. Classification of the defects of the dental arches.

Prosthetics in children as a factor malocclusions prevention. Indication for prosthetics. Clinical and roentgenologic indications for prosthetics in children. The main charactetistics of the prosthetic constructions in children.

Risk factors which need surgical manipulations: lip frenulum plastic, vestibule deepening, supranumeral teeth, retained teeth etc. Indications for their elimination.

Anatomo-physiological peculiarities of the mimic and mastication muscles. Conception of the muscular balance. Myogymnatics as a part of TPT. Substantiation of the myogymnastic application, its principles for malocclusions prevention.

Disturbance of the muscles balance as a risk factor of the malocclusion appearance. The main complexes of the myogymnastic exercices for the establishement of the muscles balance for the muscles groups: exercoces for the muscle orbicularis oris, tongue, buccinator,
